NW Auto Specialists give really great service. I want to thank them for finding dangerous issues I had no idea I had. I have an older SUV and some issues can be catastrophic if not resolved early.

Nice folks, and convenient however, it comes at a high premium. The ONLY reason I didn't wind up using them was because they wanted to charge me approx $6,200, ($5,000 just in labor alone) to drop in a motor from a wrecking yard. They said it was a 25 hour job at $200/hr!!!! For The motor, the place selling it only wanted $400, but NW Auto was marking it up to $1100. I have absolutely no problem paying more for good quality service or with someone marking up a price a bit, but I felt marking it up that much was totally out of line, and the overall price was more than twice of what the next highest shop wanted out of all the professional shops in Cowlitz and Clark Counties. I would understand if this was a custom motor swap, or new motor, not a wrecking yard motor of the exact same engine. Or, I could understand if they added on extensive warranties, or SOMETHING to justify theprices being that high. In the end, I really wanted to do business with them but I felt Like I was being price gouged, so found a shop offering to do it for $1,500 that also gives a 3 year warranty on the motor that actually specializes my rig.

They talked me into putting a "rebuilt" motor into my toyota Tacoma. It was machined below specks. Double gaskets. Had two shims in it. All this for only 6000. . Don't go there

My truck was having problems, I drove in, melissa took my truck in without hesitation and drove me in her personal car (with my dog even) to where I was able to get myself home. (Thank you melissa) ! They figured out the problem(s), found the correct parts for my older '83 Chevy and fixed my truck and it's running and driving properly again. Nice new parts, and clean work. Thank you again for everything. I will come back for my future repairs.

I was on a solo road trip from north of Seattle to south of Portland when after a pit stop my van died on the highway. Sitting in a snow storm for two hours waiting and calling a million places my tow driver showed up. He recommended these guys because it's a VW and there wasn't anyone around. We did drive a ways, but he got me to Northwest Auto Specialist and they were ready to help. They diagnosed the issue by closing time and had my van ready first thing in the morning to get me back on the road. They came and picked me up from my hotel too! I cannot thank them enough for the amazing customer service and how quickly they took care of me. Highly recommend! Thank you guys!

I like the way things were explained to me about what they were going to fix on my truck. Very knowledgeable and professional!
